Coffee doesn't flow |
Remove the portafilter from the appliance and try to brew espresso without the portafilter. If water is not coming out: Check if there is water in the water tank or if the water tank is fully inserted. If the tank has been inserted incorrectly and the valves on the bottom are not open, Press the tank down lightly to open the valves on the bottom. Try to remove the water tank and install it again. Scale in the water circuit: Descale. If there is water coming out:

Grinding problems |
You must first identify the grinding issue. The machine is not grinding at all. Did you select the pre-ground function? If yes, turn the dosage dial to the correct position. If No: did you insert the portafilter and hear a click? Do you not hear the grinder working, or do you hear the grinder working and no grains coming out? Clean the burrs. Is the burr grinder properly assembled on the unit? Provide instructions on how to assemble the bur correctly. Do you have coffee beans in the grinder? Is the coffee funnel completely clogged? Have you set the dosage dial in the correct position? Provide instructions on how to set the dosage dial in the correct position. Is there something stuck or something that damaged the grinder? Have the customer press the grind button to test if is functioning properly
The grinder is not grinding enough. The coffee ground is not fine enough. Did you select the pre-ground function? If yes, turn the dosage dial to the correct position If No: Did you insert the portafilter all the way in and hear a click? Is the dosage dial set to the highest level?
The grinder is grinding too much or too little. The grinder is not in the right position. Recommendations: To guarantee top-quality grinding, clean the “Smart tamping station” regularly.

Machine does not turn on. |
The machine has a standby mode, so you must press a button other than the power button to turn it off. The sensor magnet located in the water tank(bottom left) can get stuck, or as the unit gets older, the magnetism of the sensor can weaken over time. This applies to all Specialistas.
