Coffee doesn't flow

  1. Programming issues:

  • Programmed the minimum amount by mistake. Solution: Factory reset. 

  • Instead of using the single shot try to use the double. 


  1. Remove the portafilter from the appliance and try to brew espresso without the portafilter. 

  • If water is not coming out:

    •  Check if there is water in the water tank or if the water tank is fully inserted.

    • If the tank has been inserted incorrectly and the valves on the bottom are not open: Press the tank down lightly to open the valves on the bottom.

    • Try to remove the water tank and install it again.

    • Scale in the water circuit: Descale. 

  • If there is water coming out:

    • The coffee is too fine or not fine enough.

    • The filter is clogged: descale the machine.

Leaking water/oil/gas/steam

Where is it leaking from?

Portafilter:

  • The filter holder has been inserted incorrectly or is dirty: Attach the filter holder correctly and rotate firmly as far as it will go

  • Attach the filter holder correctly and rotate firmly as far as it will go: Have the espresso boiler gasket replaced by Customer Services

  • The holes in the filter holder spouts are blocked: Clean the spout holes

Doesn't follow function/programs

Check if the customer is following the correct instructions from the manual. [Refer to DLS or website manual]

Descale light won't go off

This alarm is associated with coffee not flowing or not coming out. 

Possible causes: Issue with the water flow.

Does not switch on (no power)

This unit has a button on the bottom side. It tends to go under sleeping mode.

Solution: Just press any button and the unit will wake up.

Steaming issues

Check if the light “two cups” is blinking, this means the steam wander was not open. 

Display error message/lights/acoustic signal

With extreme use, the appliance reaches a high temperature. Simply wait: the appliance will cool down automatically.

Blocked nozzle

This may cause Steaming issues. Look at the Steaming issues section.

Overheating/gets hot

With extreme use, the appliance reaches a high temperature. Simply wait: the appliance will cool down automatically.
