The customer was not using the product properly
The video shows how the unit has too many extensions adapted to the exhaust hose
Agent 1 first received a call and told the customer we were going to check the video. No probing questions were asked, nor was Techsee used to verify what the issue was with the unit, and tasked this ticket to the back office team.
BO agent 1 did not verify the information provided and failed to educate the customer. An upgrade was offered instead.
BO agent 2 did not verify the information provided and re-tasked the ticket to in process after the customer accepted the upgrade.
BO agent 3 placed the new replacement order without checking the previous information
The customer might call again, stating the new unit is not working, as he was never advised he was misusing the product by not following the proper instructions.
Can I extend the hose on my portable air conditioner?
We do not recommend that you lengthen the exhaust hose, as this can damage the product. The hose supplied is about 4 feet in length. Before buying, please ensure that you have enough space to position the portable air conditioner near a window or door.
Do portable air conditioners work without the hose?
No. Our portable air conditioners are designed to work by expelling hot air out of the back of the unit using the 4-foot hose supplied with the unit. The air conditioner can also be installed semi-permanently in a room by drilling a hole through a wall. In this case, you should follow the instructions provided in the user manual.
