Everything you need to know about carafe maintenance and troubleshooting


Troubleshooting tips:

  • Place a white napkin in between the sensor and the carafe to trick the sensor into seeing the device is attached. The darker the milk, the harder it will be for the sensor to detect it. 

  • Hot spout: Disconnect and reconnect the device to see if the unit will detect that the spout is connected.  If that does not work, you can try wiggling the spout.

Checklist to follow before replacing coupling or sending to repairs

  • Ensure the plastic coupling is cleaned properly

  • Ensure to disassemble and clean the carafe tube properly in hot water and soap. Check the tube to see if it has any holes.

  • Check the O rings on the frother coupling if needed order a new coupling using part number AS00006262 (only  for the EVO)

  • Make sure the plastic coupling is not broken.

  • The product has a sensor to recognize when there is no milk inside the carafe (also if using alternative milk that is too clear (water-like), it could not detect the liquid).

Cleaning carafe

  • Make sure to fully disassemble the carafe and clean it as described in the following video.
