How to read product serial numbers?

Fully Automatic Machines

Units starting with the following prefix:

EAM/ESAM/ECAM

  • The bar code label can be found on the side of the unit by removing the water tank. The serial number sequence is generally a series of 6 numbers, 2 letters, 6 numbers, and 5 numbers.

    • EX : 215018 AB 130522 50203

  • To read this number is as follows:

    • The first 6 digits are the model type. These numbers when looked up in the DLS service website will tell you what model machine it is.

    • The two letters are for factory usage and mean nothing in the serial or model type.

    • The next set of 6 numbers is the manufacturing date. This denotes the year, month, and day of production. So for the above example of 130522 it means = May 22, 2013. 5 being the month, 22 being the week of the year and 13 is for 2013.

    • The last 5 digits are the unit's number on the assembly line

CAM

  • The bar code label can be found on the left side of the unit by removing the drip tray. The serial number sequence is generally a series of 6 numbers, 2 letters, 6 numbers, and 5 numbers.

    • EX : 218000 DU 230119 F0043

  • To read this number is as follows:

    • The first 6 digits are the model type. These numbers when looked up in the DLS service website will tell you what model machine it is.

    • The two letters are for factory usage and mean nothing in the serial or model type.

    • The next set of 6 numbers is the manufacturing date. This denotes the year, month, and day of production. So for the above example of 230119 it means = January 19, 2023. 01 being the month, 19 being the week of the year and 23 is for 2023.

    • The last 5 digits are the unit's number on the assembly line.

SPECIALISTA

SPECIALISTA

  • The barcode label can be found on the bottom of the unit. The serial number sequence is generally a combination of 18 numbers and letters.

    • EX : 0020670019016R0089 (Refer to the image on the left side)

  • To read this number, it is as follows:

    • The first 6 digits are the tag number that define the model. These numbers when looked up in the DLS service website will tell you what model machine it is.

    • The next two numbers are the version of the unit (not really used now).

    • The next set of 5 numbers is the manufacturing date. This denotes the year and the day ofthe year. So for the above example of 19016 it means = 016th day of 2019.

    • The last 5 digits are the unit's number on the assembly line.

Portable Air Conditioners, Dehumidifiers and more

Portable Air Conditioner

Units that start with the following letters after the PAC in the type number ie:

A, C, T, W, WE,EL, EX and AN, but only if contain a K in the model.

  • Serial number is an 8 digit code on the top right hand corner of the rectangular bar code sticker

  • The first 6 digits is the date showing YYMMDD, unless the number starts with zero, then you read the 7 digits as YYYMMDD

Units that start with the following after the PAC:

N, CN,EX,EL and AN, but not containing a K in the model

  • * The serial number is found on a silver sticker with a 5-digit serial number. The number is read YWWYY -- EX: 43522 ='s 35th week of 2014. (1992 + 22 = 2014)

Dehumidifier

  • All dehumidifiers have 5-digit serial numbers

  • The serial number is found on a silver sticker with a 5-digit serial number. The number is read YWWYY -- EX: 43522 ='s 35th week of 2014. (1992 + 22 = 2014)

All other DeLonghi units after 1992 have 5 digit serial numbers

  • The serial number is found on a silver sticker with a 5-digit serial number. The number is read YWWYY -- EX: 43522 ='s 35th week of 2014. (1992 + 22 = 2014)

How to read KENWOOD serial numbers

  • All Kenwood products have 5 digits, 2 numbers, 1 letter, and 2 numbers. EX: 13 T 35 - the way to read this is the first two numbers are the year, the letter is irrelevant to you, and the last two numbers are the week of the year. So the above example means the 35th week of 2013.
